HISTORY OF SMARTPHONES
The first smartphones, the IBM and Nokia were in 1994 and 1996 respectively, with features of a mobile phone and a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) for managing calendars and contacts. In 2000 the first real smartphone, the Ericsson R380, was released. In 2007, Apple company released the iPhone with full touchscreen control.
A smartphone can: Make voice calls, send text messages, make video calls, emails, internet, can take photos, navigate with GPS, play music and videos manage your contacts and appointments, Play games online payments etc.
Smartphones are made by highly reupdated companies like: Apple, Samsung, LG, HTC, Nokia, Sony, Motorola etc.
There are three major operating systems on phones:
- Google Android is the most popular operating system on mobile phones.
